Sometimes it feels like there’s an unspoken pressure for farmers to just keep going. There’s always another cow to milk, another field to check, or another combine to repair. While those responsibilities certainly matter, we believe the person behind them matters too.
Farming can come with long hours, uncertainty, isolation, and stress that often go unspoken. Carrying those pressures alone can take a real toll on mental and emotional well-being.
Dakota Harvest of Hope exists to help connect farmers with others who genuinely understand both the highs and lows of agricultural life. There is no judgment here — only community, conversation, and support from people who share similar experiences.
We invite you to join one of our upcoming gatherings, where individuals can share experiences, build meaningful connections, and support one another in a low-pressure environment. If you reach out, please let us know where you are based so we can help connect you with people in your area whenever possible.
Dakota Harvest of Hope is a peer support and community connection organization. We are here to help connect farmers and agricultural workers in a supportive environment, but we are not a licensed medical or mental health provider.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, are in immediate danger, or need urgent assistance, please contact local emergency services or a licensed mental health professional immediately.
