Our Mission

To us, North Dakota simply wouldn’t be North Dakota without the people who bring our fields of beans and sunflowers bursting to life. But sometimes a crop doesn’t come in, bills begin to pile up, or the weight of uncertainty becomes difficult to carry alone.

We understand that farming is more than a job — it’s a way of life. But the stressors that come with agriculture can take a serious toll on mental and emotional well-being.

Dakota Harvest of Hope exists to support farmers across North Dakota and neighboring states who may be facing stress, isolation, PTSD, and other mental health challenges connected to agricultural life.

We’re building a place where people can sit down with others who understand the same pressures, experiences, and realities of farming. By reducing the sense of isolation that can sometimes feel built into the profession, our goal is to ensure that no one feels like they are facing these struggles alone.

What We Do

In North Dakota, neighbors look out for one another. That spirit of community is at the heart of Dakota Harvest of Hope.

We operate as a community-building organization focused on facilitating peer-based support, encouraging open conversations around mental health in agriculture, and raising awareness about the challenges affecting the well-being of farmers and agricultural workers.

While we are not medical or mental health providers, we hope to serve as a meaningful complement to the professional mental health resources available within local communities.
